Traditional nigeria dishes

Nigerian cuisine consists of dishes from the hundreds of ethnic groups. It uses spices and herbs in with palm oil or groundnut oil to create flavoured sauces and soups often made very hot with chilli peppers. Rice (jollof and fried) is very popular along with soups and stews.

Transport

About 20 million people live in Lagos.  As a result getting around Lagos can be difficult and gridlock is a regular feature. In order to beat the traffic jams motorbikes or Keke's are used - mainly for short hops.

Niara

The naira (₦ or NGN) is the currency of Nigeria. The naira was introduced in 1973, replacing the pound at a rate of 2 naira = 1 pound.  Nowadays the exchange rate is 270 naira = 1 pound.

Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos

Murtala Muhammed International Airport is an international airport located in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria, and is the major airport serving the city of Lagos. This is the airport we flew into. The airport was built during World War II.

Ikeja is the place where my Aunty Stella and Miriam live.
